About Dr. Cindy
Dr. Cindy M. P. Duke, MD, PhD, FACOG is a physician-scientist whose work is grounded in one central question. How do we make complex health and life decisions clearer, more structured, and easier to act on in real life?
Her career spans reproductive medicine, immunology, virology, metabolic health, and global healthcare systems. She was born in Trinidad and Tobago and moved to the United States to pursue science and medicine, earning her degree in Biochemistry from The City College of New York, followed by both her MD and PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Rochester through the National Institutes of Health Medical Scientist Training Program.
She trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital and completed her subspecialty fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Yale New Haven Hospital and Yale University.
This path placed her at a rare intersection of disciplines. Dr. Duke is recognized as the only physician formally trained in both fertility subspecialty medicine and immunovirology. Her work explores how immune regulation, inflammation, metabolic health, and endocrine signaling influence not only fertility, but long-term health outcomes.
Across her clinical work, research, and advisory roles, one pattern became clear. People are often given information, but not the structure to use it. They are expected to navigate important decisions without a clear way to think through them or follow through consistently.
Urchin Academy was built from that understanding.
It reflects how she approaches her work. Clear thinking. Practical structure. Decisions that hold in real life. The same principles used in her clinical and scientific work are translated here into tools, guidance, and systems that support how people actually live.
In parallel, Dr. Duke continues to design technology-enabled healthcare systems that integrate ethical artificial intelligence, digital diagnostics, telemedicine, and precision treatment strategies. She advises physicians, founders, and policymakers on the future of reproductive medicine, medical entrepreneurship, and global health infrastructure.
